July 2024 Update and Q&A Session

AgriProspects is a five-year grant program awarded by the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) (AFRI Education and Workforce Development Competitive Grant 2023-67037-40533) whose aims are to foster regional cooperation amongst workforce development practitioners; identify workforce ecosystem gaps; and offer collaborative, adaptive solutions to local and regional employment challenges in the food and agriculture sector.

The AgriProspects mini-grant program bolsters Cooperative Extension’s work in this area by supporting grant projects that:

meaningfully invest in practice and collaboration across 1994, 1890, and 1862 institutions;
develop partnerships with businesses, employers, and agencies, and/or intermediaries; and
are skills-informed.

The first round of AgriProspects Mini-grants is aimed at developing adult, ag sector focused workforce development capacity within the Cooperative Extension System. From cross-region and cross-institution collaboration to expanding the good work already underway, almost anything is on the table!

All Land-Grant Colleges & Universities are welcome to apply regardless of membership status in the Extension Foundation.
